Fiber-To-The-Premise

Possibilities at the Speed of Light

You will soon have a communications infrastructure that will be the envy of people in the largest metro areas. Nex-Tech is excited to announce plans to build a Fiber-To-The-Premise (FTTP) communication system for many of the cities and rural areas in Nex-Tech's service footprint. We will begin construction in the summer of 2010 and will be completed by the end of 2012. Construction will happen in phases across the area, with customers being transitioned to the FTTP system once construction in their neighborhood or rural area is complete.

Fiber optic cable to your door!
Fiber optics technology provides virtually unlimited bandwidth. Nex-Tech will replace all of its current local phone, wireless Internet and DSL infrastructure with FTTP in order to provide its customers with the best technology possible. As a result, Nex-Tech will begin offering 20MB* high-speed Internet packages and will have the ability to provide over 100MB to each doorstep.

Advanced Television Services from Nex-Tech!
With FTTP, residents and businesses will be able to enjoy the best possible entertainment experience through advanced television services including Digital TV, Hi-Def, instant movie rentals through Video on Demand, whole-house Digital Video Recorders (DVRs), Internet-based apps over the television (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, weather, stock quotes) and more.

FREE transition!
If you want the option to receive Nex-Tech services now, or in the future, a Network Interface Device (NID) and a fiber drop to that NID must be installed on the outside of your home or business. This will allow Nex-Tech to connect its fiber system to your telephone, Internet and television jacks. All of this will be done free of charge.

No contract, no commitment!
Rest assured that authorizing the placement of the NID and fiber drop does not commit you to taking Nex-Tech services. It simply provides that option in the future. In order to have the option to subscribe to Nex-Tech local phone service, high-speed Internet or advanced digital television service, the NID and fiber drop must be installed.
